The CASPER workshop is a semi-annual workshop where FPGA, GPU, and general heterogeneous system programmers get together to discuss new instruments in radio astronomy, as well as the tools and libraries for developing and manipulating these instruments.
The workshop is hosted by interested organizations around the world, with the 2022 workshop help in Cagliari, Italy, hosted by the National Institute for Astrophysics. This year, the workshop will be held for the first time in Central Florida, with hosts from the University of Central Florida and the Florida Institute of Technology. The venue is the Hilton, situated on Cocoa Beach.
The workshop runs runs for one week, the 6th - 10th November, and consists of presentations in the morning, followed by various hands-on tutorials and break out sessions in the afternoon.
Further details of the conference can be found on this website, and information on CASPER generally here. Presentations from previous workshops typical of the topics represented can be found at: CASPER 2022.
Registration for the workshop is scheduled to close on September 30, though late registration can be organized via the LOC. The early registration fee will be $400 in person, and free for remote participants.
